The ageing is done, the cuvée is here: an elegantly structured, cool-climate, Aussie cab just in time to meet the seasonal flavours of hearty game stews and roasts of lamb, beef and chicken.
Since 1891, Wynns Coonawarra Estate. Defining the finesse of such premium Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is the terra rossa soil that is exclusive to a region that is also distinguished by its cool, marginal climate. As Australia's most southerly wine producing geographic indication, here is where its flagship varietal finds beautifully developed ripeness, thanks to the influence of the Southern Ocean and the cold Antarctic winds it issues. These assure a long, cool fruit-ripening period during which flavour intensity is built up slowly, creating a balanced acidity. The resulting wines will always be among Australia's finest for their richness, intensity, flavour and longevity.
The Siding is the baby brother to the iconic Wynns 'Black Label' and a wonderful entry point for this world-class cabernet-producing estate. It is named after the railway siding - a local landmark that played a defining role during Coonawarra's early settlement.

Where possible, we will use the existing packaging the wine is shipped to us in from the producer. If we feel this is unfit, we will re-pack in a Mr.Wheeler branded, recyclable cardboard carton.
