Burgundy Red Wine
The perfumed, light, berry-fruited red wines of Burgundy are invariably made from 100% pinot noir. For centuries, here is where the vinifying world has been taught to cultivate what many in it consider to be the noblest of all red varietals. This is because over these same centuries, Burgundy's tightly knit patchwork of vineyards has been home to the grape's most diverse expressions and indeed to the most sublime, exclusive and coveted cuvées on earth. No-one has worked pinot vine as have the Burgundians. As a tribute to this history and dazzling diversity, here we have selected from a handful of appellations to bring you a delicious cross-section of premium and affordable pinot-drinking pleasure.
