This clay on top of limestone 1er Cru vineyard, at the very heart of the village of Morey-St-Denis, just below the Grand Cru Clos des Lambrays, delivers in Frédéric’s hands a wine of superb perfume, delicate and elegant with juicy red cherry at its core, some subtle hints of violets and just a touch of black pepper spice. Gently firm, fruit-coated tannic structure supplies the framework to age gracefully for the next decade and-a-half. Delicious.
