2020 Côte Rôtie 'La Giroflarie', Patrick Jasmin

Jasmin’s wines are noted for their almost Burgundian texture and refinement, and the 2020 is no exception. Alluring perfume on the nose, with a note of violets and exotic spice swirling around the expressive re berry fruit. Palate is altogether darker and more brooding with deep blackberry and cassis fruit and rich, grainy tabnnins. 95% syrah, with 5% viognier. This is good for another 10+ years, but very hard to resist now.
