2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Télégramme, F. et D. Brunier

The second wine of Vieux Télégraphe, an estate that is considered by many to be one of the region's most prestigious. Télégramme is produced by the same team and with the same approach as is the Grand Vin, but with fruit selected from the property's younger vines. Here, the blend is typically 90% Grenache and 10% Mouvedre for a Châteauneuf that is more approachable in youth than its big brother. Dried cherry and baked spices on the nose, medium bodied with dark cherry, red berry fruit and hints of spice and liquorice finishing with firm grippy tannins. A superb rendition from this top producer.
