2 x 2010 Château Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Medoc - 91 points
"A very classic wine for patient connoisseurs, Sociando Mallet makes no compromises and continues to produce one of the finest wines among non-classified estates in Haut-Medoc. Dense purple to the rim, the opaque purple-colored 2010 offers up notes of graphite, blueberry and black raspberry fruit, a hint of cassis, some licorice and wet rocks. Deep, full-bodied and almost excruciatingly tannic, this full-throttle, balls-to-the-wall style of wine needs at least 8-10 years of cellaring and should keep for three decades or more. 2 x Château Angludet, Margaux - 90 points
"A major sleeper of the vintage, as I thought from barrel several years ago, the 2010 is one of the best d'Angludets I have tasted. It should drink nicely for 15-20 years, but there is no reason to defer your gratification. It is a sexy, up-front, precociously styled dAngludet with a deep purple color, loads of floral notes intermixed with licorice, blueberry, black raspberry and, of course, the classic creme de cassis. It is dense, ripe, soft, round and surprisingly accessible for a 2010. A beauty! Drink: 2025 - 2030" - Robert Parker

2 x 2010 Château Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc - 94 points
"The wine needs a good 7-10 years of cellaring and should keep for 30 more years, but this is the finest Cantemerle I have encountered in my professional career of tasting young vintages (dating back 34 years now). Stunningly deep ruby/purple, with a beautiful nose of spring flowers intermixed with perfumed raspberry and blueberry notes, it exhibits a sort of cool-climate character. Broad, rich and intense on the palate, the wine has plenty of tannins, but they are sweet and well-integrated. Everything is delicately entwined into this beautiful, medium to full-bodied, dense purple wine, which shows stunning character and a prodigious potential for development. This is definitely a major sleeper of the vintage and even better than I thought from barrel. With its 2010, this classified growth located in the southern end of the Medoc may well have made a modern-day version of their legendary 1949. Drink: 2020 - 2025." - Robert Parker
