2022 Chateau Bellini Rosé, Coteaux Varois-en-Provence
A gentle swirl releases wonderful aromas of peach and apricot from the glass, which in time reveal notes of grapefruit and citrus. Ripe, fresh, complex, elegant.
The palate is just delicious: ripe, but not overly sweet, apricot and blood orange are the first to come forth which then evolve into a gentle swathe of peach and pear. There's a welcome, weighty touch on the palate, with just enough citrus to freshen, whilst retaining a glossy feel. with no sharp edges.
On the finish, a hint of wild strawberry with a very delicate touch of spice that lingers on through a very lengthy finish on what is undoubtedly one of the finest rosé wines I have tasted this year.
