Classic Sancerre, with a little more weight
Sancerre remains one of the great expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, and Nicolas Millet's 2025 Les Garennes shows exactly why. The warm vintage has given the wine greater ripeness and concentration, but underneath it all is the steely, mineral freshness that distinguishes really good Sancerre.
It's already a joy to drink, whether as an apéritif or alongside food, but previous vintages suggest there will be further complexity and texture to come with a little time in bottle.
The palate is poised and precise, with the warmth of the 2025 vintage bringing additional texture, weight and concentration. Ripe orchard and citrus fruit are joined by a delicate tropical note before a steely, mineral backbone carries everything through to a long, dry and refreshing finish.
