"The 2016 Ch. Tour St. Bonnet is a highly-regarded Cru Bourgeois estate in the Médoc owned by the Merlet family. I first came across it yonks ago and it has remained a firm favourite. A blend of Merlot, Cab Sauv and Petit Verdot aged in large oak foudres, its got deep, rich, plummy fruit and a fine, long, satisfying finish."

Tasting Note
Tour Saint-Bonnet is always classically-styled, but the 2016 is particularly showy. Warm and expressive, with an inviting nose of red fruit, cedar and spice. With every swirl of the glass, more and more secondary aromas emerge with subtle woodsmoke and roasted coffee. The palate shows just the right level of maturity, with savoury notes enhancing the autumn berry flavours. Soft tannins, with an appealing, layered finish.
