Contino Reserva, CVNE, Rioja 2010
The Contino Reserva is Rioja at its very best. The tempranillo, and 10% of the increasingly fashionable, but difficult to grow graciano grapes are all grown on the limestone estate around the fine old manor house overlooking the Ebro river. No herbicides are used, only organic fertilisers to produce what is a really lovely wine and a fine alternative to good Bordeaux.
