2021 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, Kosta Brown, Oregon

"The 2021 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is the inaugural release of an Oregon wine from Kosta Browne. It was fermented with 5% whole clusters and aged for 12 months in 33% new French oak. Medium ruby, it features briary fruit obscured slightly by cedary oak, opening with time to tea leaf and graphite accents. The light-bodied palate is refreshing and silky, with a deeper core of wild berry fruit and a floral finish. It may gain intensity over the next 2-3 years in the bottle." Erin Brooks, robertparker.com
