Pound for pound, we've never come across a better-value white. One which offers such expressiveness, such a degree of delicacy, purity and an intensity of unoaked chardonnay aromatics and flavours. Our customers certainly agree.
A price point that won't get you nearly so far in Puligny-Montrachet (where you can easily double that figure). Instead, you get pure expression of some of the finest terroir in this lesser-known Mâcon region. So fine, in fact, that the Uchizy village and environs were granted their own village-specific appellation. And when this terroir is harnessed by Benjamin and Mallory Talmard's expertise, the results are - especially at well under £20 a bottle - irresistible.
Tasting Note
Beautifully weighted; balanced, fruit forward in style, deliciously moreish. Slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks has retained a purity of fruit, where extra time on lees imbues a greater depth of flavour and delicate texture in the palate. Unoaked for a of pronounced citrus, melon and peach, with a backdrop of delicate tropical fruit. The palate is fresh and zesty with soft, fleshy white stone fruit, citrus and melon, leading to a delicately textured, lengthy finish.

We’re mainly red wine drinkers but we make an exception for this Macon wine! It’s clear to see why it is so popular. When the sun is shining it’s always tempting to open a second bottle!
