So recognisable, this vintage again is a wine with real presence in the glass, with a lovely pale-golden hue. There's a warming toastiness to the nose, a notable hint of citrus and clementine, with notes of almond and herb.

The palate is bold, weighty and full-bodied, there's toasted almond, hazelnut and notes of dried orchard fruit. There's an element of delicate spice and minerality with a creaminess, almost buttery character to the finish which completes with a cleansing citrus zing. The finish is lengthy, warming and complex. This really is full-on, intense white Burgundy.

As with previous vintages you'll start to see real evolution after just a few months in bottle with great expression of fruit on both nose and palate so don't rush to pull the cork on this newly shipped release.

It's a wine that will again bring great pleasure to those who enjoy the richer, more textured, rounded style of chardonnay from the Burgundy region.
