"2020 Terroir de Zinio, Tempranillo Reserva is brand new to Mr Wheeler's list although theyve worked with Zinio Bodegas - a highly regarded, 200-strong growers' cooperative in the heart of Rioja Alta - for more than 20 years. 100 per cent Tempranillo, with two weeks' skin contact maceration, malolactic fermentation and 18 months in French and American oak, it's robust and spicy with plenty of rustic dark fruit with herbs and, hmmm, we couldnt decide whether it was coffee or chocolate on the finish."

Terroir de Zinio is a new addition to the Mr.Wheeler list from Bodegas Zinio, a highly regarded growers' cooperative in Rioja Alta that we've worked with for more than 20 years.
Made entirely from Tempranillo and aged for 18 months in French and American oak, it's a robust, spicy style of Rioja with plenty of dark-fruit character. At £21.50 in The Spectator offer, it's a very welcome addition to the range.
