2023 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Murgers des Dents de Chien, Gérard Thomas

Upon pouring you're met with an attractive, pale silvery-golden shimmer in the glass. With little to no effort pronounced aromas of exotic stone fruit, pear, citrus, melon and an elegant hint of toasted hazelnut surge from the glass.

The palate is forward and complex, whist retaining a wonderful balance between fruit, warmth and texture; exotic stone fruit is first to emerge evolving into mature orchard fruit, a hint of yellow peach, and delicate toasty, nutty warmth.

Time spent resting in fine French oak barrels is reflected in the creamy, buttery palate feel, beautifully framed by a fresh citrus 'zip' which runs through and gently cleanses the palate adding a real sense of freshness and vibrancy to the wine.

A wine to savour, patiently allowing the complex flavours to unfurl and hold on the impressively lengthy, dry finish.
