2023 Margaux
Ensure classic, Margaux-drinking pleasure for well under £30 a bottle this season with Mr.Wheeler's declassified Margaux 2023 vintage.
Crafted by one of Margaux's finest estates, the 2023 offers all the hallmark richness, luscious red-and-dark fruit, sweet spice, silky tannins, and luxurious length youd expect from one of the worlds most sought-after appellations.
"The 2023 Margaux, with fragrant notes of azaleas rung dry after the rain, is serious fare. Early hints of redcurrants giveway to blackcurrants and blackberries, all soft, juicy and smooth. This is a class act and can only get classier as it matures."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
What does 'Declassified' mean?
Mr.Wheeler's close relationships with some of Bordeauxs most respected négociants means were offered occasional access to exclusive parcels of claret from ultra-prestigious estates. Parcels where you enjoy the same pedigree and expertise of the estates Grand Vin, but in wines made with vintage-surplus fruit and in bottles without their Grand Vin label on.
And when we say, ultra-prestigious estates, we mean just that. It's just that we cant disclose which one. This is how we keep the price so low.
