ABOUT THIS WINE
Read Critic Reviews

Great value has always been guaranteed at Champagne Courtois, and as this family-owned champagne house enters its 50th year of winemaking, we see a level of quality here that’s never been higher. So that guarantee has never been more solid. Which means that at less than half the price of the grandes marques, Pierre Courtois Brut is a must for any lover of finer bubbles.

In Champagne, the best value for money is found with small, dedicated growers like Pierre Courtois. Their six meticulously tended hectares consistently produce a purity and elegance of fruit for a quality of champagne always punching well above its weight. Here is fizz wonderfully fresh, with an enviable complexity of flavour and gorgeous length.

Tasting Note
A classic regional blend of all three permitted varieties, pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay. The fine, persistent fizz releases delicate aromas of pear, quince and honeysuckle. The palate follows suit with flavours of baked apple, brioche and citrus notes with a delicate creamy finish. A genuinely terrific value champagne with no compromise in quality.

What do the critics think?
“A lovely and eminently approachable, Pinot Meunier-dominated grower Champagne, based on the 2016 vintage, with 40% of reserve wine from 2015 in the blend. It has a golden colour and only 5.5g/l dosage, but the ripeness and softness of the mousse and fruit profile make this elegantly sippable. There is some biscuity toast, but there's plenty of mid-palate fruit and a well-balanced finish with zippy acidity giving good length.”
