Bright, refined orchard fruit aromas of ripe pear, white peach and golden apple reflect Limoux’s high-altitude freshness and long ripening season. Subtle oak adds touches of brioche, vanilla and gentle spice. Creamy yet finely balanced on the palate, it combines ripe stone fruit with lively acidity, finishing poised, precise and elegantly Burgundian.
When Bruno turns his hand to 100% Chardonnay, his reference point is unmistakably the Côte de Beaune. The 2024 Barrique Blanc is another assured expression of that Burgundian inspiration, showing how judicious barrel ageing can elevate the variety with precision and poise.
The 2024 growing season in Limoux was defined by a mild winter followed by a warm, dry summer, tempered by the region’s altitude and cooling influences, resulting in low disease pressure, excellent ripeness and notably well-preserved acidity. These conditions are clearly reflected in the wine, where ripe flavours are balanced by freshness and finesse.
Subtle, beautifully integrated French oak brings aromas of spring blossom, clove, roasted hazelnut, brioche and vanilla, leading into a generous core of apricot, peach and pear. Clean, citrus-bright and persistent on the finish, Barrique Blanc 2024 confirms a cuvée that continues to refine and impress with every vintage.
