Simon W | 2010 'Les Côteaux' Rouge, Mas Belles Eaux, Languedoc

The 2009 from this excellent Domaine was my introduction to bliss. I served it at many of the Judges’ lunches when in office as High Sheriff of North Yorkshire in 2017. Many a B&B after the events stated what an excellent claret it was! Wrong for all the right reasons I would say, it is owned and made by the owner of Château Pichon Baron 2nd Growth Pauillac.

The 2010’s tannins are lovely and soft, it has impeccable balance with plenty of meaty and mushroom core to it. At its peak and a delight. Very difficult not to open a second bottle!
