Michel Chapoutier V.I.T. Triple Vintage Mixed Case
We’re very excited to bring a more unusual fine wine mixed case – a must for those who love hugely flavoursome wines of the south of France and The Rhône.
"The top single parcel bottles of RI and VIT are made in tiny quantities, but these are up with the finest wines coming from the south of France. In short, these are fabulous wines that show classic characters and represent incredible values. Don’t miss them."
The Wine Advocate
Michel Chapoutier is a titan of the Rhône and southern French vineyards, and drove down and established his first Roussillon vineyards at Bila-Haut in 2000. 20 years on and the wines have attained a huge following, won multiple awards, and are much loved year in, year out by many of the world's most respected wine critics. Despite this demand the estate remains modest in size with limited production and a focus on capturing the unique terrior of the individual plots in the Bila-Haut Domaine.
We were recently offered access to a small parcel of a very sought-after wine from this wonderful estate, which includes the 2013, 2014 and 2015 vintages of their highly acclaimed 'Visitare Interiore Terrae' (meaning 'visit the innermost earth') – a highly selective blend of grenache and syrah, aged for 18 months, and each awarded 94 points or higher by The Wine Advocate.
In this mixed case you will receive two each of the following wines;
2013 Domaine de Bila-Haut, V.I.T.
"Beautiful crème de cassis, black raspberry, savoury herbs, beef blood and dried earth-like aromas and flavours. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless, with the purity and freshness of the vintage, yet with no lack of texture or richness, it blossoms in the glass, has terrific length, and will have 10-15 years of overall longevity."

2014 Domaine de Bila-Haut, V.I.T.
"A 60/40 split of Grenache and Syrah the spent 18 months in 60% demi-muids and 40% in concrete tanks. It offers a full-bodied, supple, sexy style (which is not the norm in the vintage) to go with lots of ripe currant fruit, licorice, black raspberries and dried herbs. It will drink nicely right out of the gate, yet also evolve nicely."

2015 Domaine de Bila-Haut, V.I.T.
"(60/40 Grenache and Syrah) offers a beautifully complex nose of cassis, black currants, damp earth (granite), chocolate and roasted meats. Rich, full-bodied, unctuous and about as sexy as they come, it has lots of sweet fruit, no hard edges and a big finish. Count me as a fan and it's a gorgeous wine to drink over the coming 7-8 years.”
