2021 Bourgogne Aligoté, Boyer-Martenot
Aligoté. A grape variety that is often ignored or overlooked, but one very much on the rise across the Côte d'Or, and which can be a real delight in the hands of top producers. Vincent’s lovely example comes from vines in the Meursault region but located on richer and more fertile soils than those reserved for his chardonnay and pinot noir. Deliciously fresh and uplifting with a perfume of apricots and pear, it is a clean and mouth-watering aperitif wine which will also complement seafoods and salads. This could become your new ‘house wine!'.
