Easter Fine Wine Case
In this mixed case, you will receive the following wines;
Brut Tradition, Champagne Michel Guilleminot
100% pinot noir and with 3 years ageing on the lees, this really is a beautiful, family-made champagne. A persistent fizz dancing on the surface offers fresh orchard-fruit on the nose. The palate is alive with a lovely texture and biscuity character, expertly balanced with a crisp dry finish with lingering brioche notes. [12% abv]
2022 Rully Blanc Montagne La Folie, Domaine Claudie Jobard
So recognisable, the 2022 vintage again is a wine with real presence in the glass, with a lovely pale-golden hue. There's a warming toastiness to the nose, a notable hint of citrus and clementine, with notes of almond and herb. The palate is bold, weighty and full-bodied, there's toasted almond, hazelnut and notes of dried orchard fruit. There's an element of delicate spice and minerality with a creaminess, almost buttery character to the finish which completes with a cleansing citrus zing. The finish is lengthy, warming and complex. This really is full-on, intense white Burgundy. [13% abv]
2019 Château Bonneau, Montagne Saint-Émilion
Lovely ruby red sheen, real purity and freshness. Aromas of red berry fruit, plum and raspberry, notes of coffee and tobacco, a touch of truffle perhaps and herbaceous element on the finale. On the palate equal complexity with rich, red-berry fruit leading evolving to darker berry, gentle spice and oaky nuance. Rustic touches towards the end, with nice, grippy 'chewy' tannins on the finish coupled to a freshness from the fruit that holds long on the palate. [13% abv]
