Simon Gotelee worked in wineries in France, California and Australia before spending thirty varied years in the wine trade as a marketing manager and salesman for Penfold’s, Taylor’s Port and Veuve Clicquot, among others. He came back home to Essex in 2013 to run Mr.Wheeler’s hotel & restaurant sales division.

Rachel Broderick moved from her hometown of Colchester to Noosa on the Sunshine Coast of Australia in 2004 with her family where they purchased and ran a highly successful restaurant ‘Bistro on Thomas’. Upon selling the restaurant in 2014 she moved back to Colchester where she spent time in the real estate industry before changing course and following her passion of the wine trade by joining Mr.Wheeler’s Customer Care team

Johnny Wheeler is our Executive Chairman and has worked in wine since an early age, including running the composite wholesaling side of the family business for some years. He has also completed seasons as a winemaker in New Zealand and is passionate about supplying individual, interesting wines, and ensuring that the family approach to our business delivers fantastic service across all aspects.

Robin James, who as Head of Customer Experience, cannot help but ensure that our level of service to you is run as flawlessly as is possible. Any issues with service and delivery end here, usually swiftly. You could say it’s personal. He’s also hugely knowledgeable about wine and possesses not only a WSET Diploma (with merit), but a palate that can spot a falanghina at 30 paces. Once a man of media ad-sales at Canary Wharf, he once-upon-a-time discovered the fruit-of-the-vine and has been a huge asset to Mr.Wheeler since.
