Chateau Ste Michelle is Washington's oldest winery. This wine is perfectly smooth, there are blackcurrants, blackberries and vanilla on the nose and similar black fruits on the palate, subtle vanilla and cedar.

2018 Selección de Parcelas Malbec, Penedo Borges, Mendoza
A wine of great expression, intense purplish colour with floral notes, red fruits and black fruits. Soft chocolate and mocha. Ripe tannins and balanced acidity, with a round long finish. Suggested pairing: prosciutto, red meat, pastas with Bolognese sauce, mushroom risotto, Grana Padano cheese.

2016 Pinot Noir, Sumaridge Estate, Upper Hemel-en-Aarde
Pinot noir grows wonderfully well in South Africa's Hemel-en-Aarde valley where it benefits from many hours of glorious sunshine and the cooling winds of the Cape coast. As a result, a perfect Yuletide cuvée revealing seductive red cherry fruit, a cedary spice and plenty of savoury complexity. Very Beaune in style and structure, it assures a star performance when paired with roast duck, leg of lamb, charcuterie and all manner of soft cheeses.
