2019 Classic Cuvée Brut, Busi-Jacobsohn, Sussex
Needless to say from the outset the bottle oozes quality, and upon pouring you are greeted with a delicate, sparkling mousse and a glint of pale gold in the glass.
The fizz is fine and persistent as it beads in the glass, releasing pronounced aromas of baked apple, citrus and a toasty, biscuity character with the gentlest of swirls.
The palate offers a delicate medley of flavours, again baked apple struck me first with an almost crumbly pastry/toasty character, a touch of savouriness with just a hint of freshening citrus.
There's a lovely texture to the wine with a touch of creaminess to the finish which is dry and really hangs on the palate. Delicious.

-----------
Elegant and crisp vintage, with great length acidity and balance. Possesses an attractive aroma of biscuits, roasted nuts, oatmeal and apple gently released with good density. The palate has a good intensity of fruits and savoury notes, gently unfurling on the palate delivering apple crumble and pastry notes with a fresh richness.
WOW…. One of the best ”non champagne” i have ever tasted… By it and try it!!
