2018 Sauvignon Blanc, Greenhough, Nelson
Greenhough call this a classic top of the south style with its Marlborough-like profound passion fruit, melon and citrus, but we also feel its excellent terroir, further west in Nelson brings a touch of European class, with freshly cut grass and crushed aromatic herbs. A proportion of this cuvée is fermented in barrel, which adds a savoury, spicy textural character to the expressive tropical fruit. Fresh as a mountain stream, but also with some weight, and very appealing,almost creamy, rich texture. Fine sauvignon here.
