The lesser-known wines from the winemakers of the Médocs loftier names are some of the best value clarets around, and becoming hugely popular. Château Fourcas-Borie, from the village of Listrac - is made by no less than Bruno Borie, the winemaker of 'super-second' Château Ducru-Beaucaillou - one of the region's most highly rated, and scored, winemakers. You may have enjoyed the 2012 we had a while back - the 2016 is even better.
The 2016 is perfect for current drinking and over the next few years. Generous and traditionally styled with dark cassis fruit, and classic aromas of cedar and subtle smoky oak. With a little time in the glass, a more expressive, alluring perfume slowly reveals itself, bring a complex bouquet of ripe stone fruits and exotic spice. Some weight on the palate here, with noticeable freshness and poise, soft supple tannins and a rich, intense finish. A Médoc of real class, and great winemaking pedigree, and very much one for the claret-lover.

From Saint-Julien’s ‘super second’ Château Ducru-Beaucaillou comes this jewel of Listrac. A generous, traditionally styled claret with dark cassis fruit, classic aromas of cedar and subtle smoky oak. Freshness, poise, soft supple tannins and a rich, intense finish.

You won’t need to come into contact with our couriers, as they will deliver your selection to an agreed safe place, without requesting a signature. Please add your delivery instructions at the checkout when placing your order.
Our specialist in-house fulfilment team pick, pack and dispatch wines to all UK addresses. Our service is fast efficient and reliable.
We do offer a next-day delivery service on a selected range of wines, which you can find here. Next-day delivery applies to these wines only and if any other wines are added to your order, the next-day delivery option will not be available. UK mainland only. Orders must be placed by 2pm, and deliveries will take place Monday to Friday.

Where possible, we will use the existing packaging the wine is shipped to us in from the producer. If we feel this is unfit, we will re-pack in a Mr.Wheeler branded, recyclable cardboard carton.
