There is only one word to describe the vintage conditions in 2015 perfect. Sunshine throughout with just enough rain at the perfect moments, hot in July yet cool in August, the growing season delivered a plentiful harvest of some of the healthiest and best quality fruit ever seen in the region.
The resulting wines are breathtaking; intensely concentrated with great structure, pure lifted fruit, expressive aromatics and brilliant balance, they have everything one could possibly ask of great reds. Whats more, these ageworthy reds are also eminently approachable, two qualities rarely found together!
We are delighted to offer a selection from the three communes and growers at the forefront of wine production in the region; a mighty, structured Hermitage from winemaking global superstar Michel Chapoutier himself, an opulent, velvety and seductive Côte-Rôtie from Stéphane Ogier, and Modernist Jean-Luc Colombos Cornas La Louvée, a perfect example of how this commune has truly shaken its reputation for grippy and sometimes rustic wines to take its place alongside the other two giants.
Whether you plan to test out just how forward these 2015s are, or keep them for a special occasion in 5, 10 or even 15 years, these will deliver sublime drinking pleasure.

2015 Hermitage, Monier de la Sizeranne, M.Chapoutier
The 2015 Hermitage Monier de la Sizeranne is full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with loads of cassis fruit and masses of ripe tannin. To top it off, some meaty, savory notes creep in on the long finish, imparting some intriguing complexity.

2015 Cote Rotie 'Reserve', Stéphane Ogier
The 2015 Cote Rotie Reserve is rich, velvety-textured and long. Raspberries and herbal notes are joined by hints of cured meat in this medium to full-bodied wine. It should drink well for up to 15 years.

2015 Cornas 'La Louvee', Jean-Luc Colombo
The full-bodied 2015 Cornas la Louvee offers authentic Cornas notes of roasted meat, licorice and cracked pepper wrapped in a robe of cedar, leather and cinnamon. It's not a fruit-forward wine but it's already approachable, with a ripe, creamy mouthfeel and a long, supple finish. It should drink well for at least a decade.

Where possible, we will use the existing packaging the wine is shipped to us in from the producer. If we feel this is unfit, we will re-pack in a Mr.Wheeler branded, recyclable cardboard carton.
